about me ꩜
i'm a first generation molecular, cellular, and developmental biology student and aspiring genetic counsellor who spends the majority of my time rotting at my desk. i work an office job part-time and am looking to work in some sort of laboratory setting post-grad (end of summer 2026... scary..)
outside of academics, i love to create art. i've been drawing and writing for as long as i can remember, and although i have taken an extended break from fiction writing due to art school burnout, i'm slowly getting my spark back.
my forever special interests are my ocs, the horror genre, and pathophysiology. i'm a huge science nerd, and will ramble about it happily at any time. a lot of entries into my digital commonplace book will be about research articles that i've found interesting.
i'm also slowly moving my artwork and writings (maybe) to here. i find that social media is a horrible place to be an artist, and my feelings on that can be summarised in a much more eloquent manner through MyrtleTribe's "On using social media as art platforms". she put it into far better words than i've been able to. most of my art (at the moment) can be found on toyhouse - though only people i authorize can see them, so mutuals and friends, please reach out to let me know if that's something you'd like.
if you'd like to know how to get a toyhou.se invite code, please check out the reddit, it's how i got my invite code waay back when :,)
thank you for stopping by :)
